Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Shift Electrician to join our maintenance team.
This position will be working on our new shift rotation and is responsible for minimizing plant downtime through preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults.
- Conduct equipment audits and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Identify and replace faulty electrical components such as contactors, relays, and field devices.
- Program drives and electronic control modules.
- Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Aim to reduce downtime and enhance system reliability.
- Investigate and analyze faults to identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Complete electrical work orders.
- Support other trades within the department as required.
- Carry out new installations and modifications.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving equipment faults in a maintenance environment.
- An unrestricted Electrical License.
- A Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Electrotechnology or higher.
- A current driver's license.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- An understanding of industrial controls, including PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
- The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
