About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Instrumentation Technician to join our team at Alcoa's Pinjarra or Wagerup Alumina refineries. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical and instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair faults on advanced process control systems
  • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment
  • Provide service and repairs to high-voltage and low-voltage equipment, motor drives, and PLC systems
  • Maintain and operate power supply systems and switching equipment
  • Install and calibrate electrical and instrumentation equipment
  • Contribute to the development of electrical and instrumentation apprentices through mentoring and coaching

Requirements
  • Australian Electrical Instrumentation Trades Apprenticeship or equivalent
  • A-class Electrical Workers Licence for Electrical Trades
  • Working knowledge of electrical regulatory requirements
  • Successful history of fault-finding and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using planned maintenance programs
  • A high level of self-sufficiency, initiative, and dedication to work
  • Well-developed communication skills
