Job Title: Financial Research Analyst

Deliver high-quality managed funds research and analysis for financial advisers at a leading Australian investment research firm.

Your Role
  • Comprehensive Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, cash, and alternatives.
  • Fund Coverage: Facilitate the initiation of new fund coverage and ongoing maintenance of existing products.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop technical expertise in products across asset classes, house views, and research processes.
  • Research Support: Assist in report writing and meeting preparation, involving the synthesis of written information and evaluation of product merits.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside experienced analysts in a collaborative environment to drive team success.
  • Ownership and Contribution: Take ownership of research projects and contribute to wider team efforts.
About You
  • Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience within a research house, financial advisory firm, fund manager, or similar, with a strong focus on financial analysis and market knowledge.
  • Skills: Strong qualitative research skills, proficient quantitative skills for data manipulation and analysis, excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Interest and Knowledge: Demonstrable interest in finance and investments, understanding of investments, equities, and ETFs.
  • Communication: Communication skills that allow for asking probing questions with confidence and clarity.
  • Teamwork and Attitude: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team, taking ownership of individual objectives, with a positive attitude and passion for learning.
  • Citizenship: Current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
