About the Job

You will work alongside Executive Directors, Principals, and Senior Environmental Scientists and Planners to contribute to environmental assessments and approvals across industrial, waste, extractive industries, infrastructure, residential, and commercial projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support project managers in delivering major planning approvals and environmental impact assessments.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of smaller planning approvals and impact assessments, ensuring they align with approved budgets and timelines.
  • Prepare proposals for smaller projects and business opportunities.
  • Set up environmental reports, including Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), Statements of Environmental Effects (SEEs), and Review of Environmental Factors (REFs).
  • Engage and manage sub-consultants, including defining scope of work, contract preparation, and execution.
  • Liaise with clients, government agencies, and industry professionals.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in environmental impact assessments within NSW.
  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors: Transport/Infrastructure, Waste and Industrial, Renewable Energy.
  • Strong technical knowledge of planning and environmental regulations necessary to deliver projects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in plain English.
