About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Seasonal Casual Truck Driver to join our team at Australia Post. As a key member of our delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of parcels to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload parcels from our trucks, ensuring they are securely stored and ready for delivery.
  • Vehicle Safety Checks: Conduct daily vehicle safety checks to ensure our trucks are in good working condition.
  • Delivery and Pick-up: Drive our modern trucks between our operational centers and customers, delivering and picking up parcels as required.
  • Unload Pick-ups: Return to our operational centers to unload pick-ups and prepare for the next delivery.
About You
  • Availability: You must be available to work from September, during our peak period.
  • License: You hold a relevant heavy vehicle license (HR & above).
  • Safety Focus: You are safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.
  • Customer-Centric: You have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.
  • Physical Ability: You are fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes, and weights.
  • Pre-Employment Requirements: You are prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo an Australia Post specific pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol screening, and national police checks.
What We Offer
  • Regular Shifts: You will be allocated a regular shift time and work with a great bunch of people.
  • Higher Rate of Pay: A higher rate of pay applies for applicable shifts (penalty rates) - AM shifts $ % loading), PM shifts $ % loading).
  • Superannuation: You will benefit from a 12% superannuation rate.
  • Ongoing Opportunities: We may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak season.
