Administrative Coordinator for Education Policy

This is a thirty (30) month fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP with possible permanency. The role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the Department of Education, Western Australia.
About UsThe Intergovernmental Relations directorate is responsible for coordinating and providing timely, high quality strategic advice on Commonwealth-State education matters.
The department coordinates the interactions with the Commonwealth Government and other states and territories through national forums such as Education Ministers Meeting and the Australian Education Senior Officials Committee, while also developing and managing responses to high-priority issues, such as funding policies and national agreements.
Your RoleAs Administrative Coordinator for Education Policy, you will provide administrative support to the effective and efficient coordination and management of a range of activities related to Commonwealth and State initiatives and meetings.
You will assist in coordinating activities and logistics which support key state and national decision-making forums regarding education.
Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining effective and efficient business processes and continuous improvement mechanisms to ensure quality and responsive outcomes are achieved.
You will also assist with reporting by identifying and monitoring key issues and trends related to Commonwealth and State relations.
