">The Role

This is a unique opportunity for a highly experienced Structural Engineer to join our Victorian transport structures team in Melbourne.

  • Provide technical leadership within the Australian transport structures team.
  • Contribute to HDR's global Bridges and Structures Business Class.

A key responsibility will be to serve as a Proof Engineer for projects in Victoria, requiring pre-qualification from the Victoria Department of Transport and Planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver specialist advice on design activities associated with transport structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, gantries and tunnels.
  • Develop design criteria, calculations, plans, and specifications.
  • Serve as a Proof Engineer in Victoria and lead teams executing proof engineering services.
  • Manage the development of structural asset management deliverables including reports, drawings, models, and specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with local, national, and global teams to leverage expertise and deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
  • Chartered membership of Engineers Australia (Structures) and listing on the National Engineering Register.
  • Registered Professional Engineer Victoria (RPEV).
  • Ability and commitment to obtain Proof Engineer pre-qualification from the Victoria Department of Transport and Planning.
  • 20+ years of structural engineering experience focused on bridges and transport structures.
