About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Lawyer to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our plaintiff personal injury law firm, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of WorkCover and CTP claims, from initial client consultations to settlement and mediation conferences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of WorkCover and CTP claims, including initial client consultations, assessing viability and quantum, preparing legal documents, and liaising with medical professionals and insurers.
  • Actively engage in file management from start to finish, including briefing barristers and medical experts, and attending court hearings and settlement conferences.
  • Work closely with our Principal to develop and implement strategies to achieve top results for our clients.

Requirements
  • Admitted lawyer with a minimum of 1 year of experience in personal injury law, preferably with a focus on plaintiff claims.
  • Strong analytical and legal drafting skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with workers compensation processes and procedures, including litigation experience and working knowledge of UCPR.
