THE ROLE
As a vital member of the Sofar Crew , you will be at the heart of the Sofar events in your local area. This casual position is part of the local team and reports to the Crew Manager. Your role is to ensure that our events deliver unforgettable experiences for artists, hosts, and attendees alike.
Crew members play a crucial role in creating the enchanting atmosphere by assisting with various tasks that enable our events to thrive. Your efforts will help guarantee that everyone enjoys the experience to the fullest.
Sofar has collaborated with over 30,000 artists and welcomed more than 1,000,000 fans to shows globally, engaging millions more online each month. You will join a team of music lovers committed to fostering a culture that supports artists and introduces their music to new audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary contact at events Infuse positive energy and represent Sofar to all artists, guests, and hosts Assist performing artists in maximizing their experience, including promoting merchandise, driving mailing list signups, and helping with equipment setup Collaborate with the host and other crew members to ensure smooth, safe, and timely event execution Welcome guests upon arrival, engage as an MC, and cultivate a sense of community during the show Support administrative tasks and organization leading up to the event Coordinate with the local Show Experience Manager and regional operations team for monthly scheduling Assist with the transportation of event supplies Complete a detailed event recap to provide valuable feedback Discover and enjoy a variety of new artists and music from around the globeQUALIFICATIONS
Experience in organizing live music events or similar activities Background as a musician or experience working closely with musicians in live settings Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends Willingness to travel within the local area Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, particularly in dynamic environments Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively Previous experience with Sofar and a genuine interest in music CPR/First Aid certification is a plus Capability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation Eligibility for employment in AustraliaOUR VALUES:
