**Opportunity Profile**
We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team at Epworth Geelong. This is a 12-month fixed-term part-time role (0.9 FTE), offering the opportunity to assess, manage, and provide client-centered intervention to patients experiencing swallowing and communication impairments in a hospital setting.
About the Opportunity
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge within the assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders, as well as experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and evaluating patients' communication and swallowing abilities
- Determining appropriate treatment plans based on assessments and evaluations
- Providing evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent degree
- Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
- Relevant hospital experience, preferably with experience in tracheostomy management and Videofluoroscopy Assessments
