Girls Basketball Coach Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced coach to lead our Middle School Girls Basketball team. If you have a passion for coaching and the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing and demonstrating skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement, as well as developing appropriate training programs and practice schedules. Additionally, they will be expected to enforce discipline policies, emphasize sportsmanship, and maintain a safe environment for student athletes at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain knowledge of District and South Carolina High School League policies and procedures.
  2. Instruct and demonstrate skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement.
  3. Develop and implement effective training programs and practice schedules.
  4. Schedule non-region games and arrange transportation for away games.
  5. Ensure proper storage and maintenance of sport equipment and uniforms.
  6. Enforce discipline policies and promote a culture of sportsmanship.
  7. Provide a safe and supportive environment for student athletes.
  8. Interact effectively with students, staff, parents, coaches, and officials.
  9. Resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Passion for coaching and working with young athletes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to develop and implement effective training programs and practice schedules.
  • Familiarity with District and South Carolina High School League policies and procedures.
