Executive Director of Brand Development

This is a 12-to-14-month contract as the Maternity Leave Replacement for our General Manager of Marketing.
We're looking for a brilliant, hands-on leader to spearhead our brand, product development, packaging and communications teams. As part of our executive leadership team, you will partner closely with the Chief of Staff and report to the Managing Director.
Your key responsibilities include:
Creative Strategy
- Develop, implement and champion strong long-term business and marketing plans that drive growth and love for our brand.
Team Leadership
- Lead the marketing team including brand management, product development, packaging design and marketing communications teams.
Brand Management
- Manage brand equity across all touchpoints, including owning and delivering our overall communication strategy from masterbrand through to tactical product campaigns, retailer media and always-on social activity.
Innovation Pipeline
- Oversee total portfolio strategy including owning and delivering on our two-year innovation and continuous improvement pipeline.
Go-To-Market Strategies
- Oversee go-to-market strategies including pricing, packaging and launch plans.
Metric-Driven Decision Making
- Ensure marketing execution is aligned to consumer needs in close partnership with CSI team using data and insight-led decision making.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing.
- Previous experience leading an agile and engaged marketing team.
- A proven track record in building and executing long-term marketing strategies.
- Strong expertise in brand management and innovation.
- A strong sense of self, energy and passion, and creative problem-solving approach.
- Ability to think outside the box and adapt quickly to changing business dynamics.
- Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly developed commercial acumen.
