About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Field Machinery Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our seed production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake day-to-day field operations, including planting, spraying, cultivation, and harvesting.
  • Maintain the highest possible Parent Seed quality and purity by adhering to best agronomic practices.
  • Contribute to crop growth under various environmental conditions and take ownership of field work activities and equipment setup.
  • Consult with management on timeliness of field operations and plant/equipment setup.
  • Regularly maintain and repair machinery to ensure efficient operations.
  • Operate precision farming machinery and equipment effectively.
  • Assist in coordination and planning of machinery operations during peak periods.

Safety and Quality Management:

  • Ensure own health and safety and that of others are not compromised.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Report hazards and incidents promptly.
  • Strive for high-quality output and contribute to the improvement of the Quality Management System.

Requirements:

  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with the wider team and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in operating heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Familiarity with agricultural practices and regulations.
