Rating Associate

The Role of a Rating Associate plays a pivotal part in our focus on ratings accuracy, research, and market engagement. They work closely with lead analysts to assign and monitor credit ratings, conduct research, and interact with issuers and other market participants.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Portfolio Management & Credit Quality: Working with lead analysts to perform day-to-day credit analysis, reviewing financial spreadsheets and charts, analyzing data and financial statements, and writing analytical commentary.
- Research, Investor Outreach & Market Interaction: Contributing to the first draft of core research, attending investor briefings and issuer meetings, and building positive relationships with issuers.
- Credit Administration: Operating applicable ratings and research systems and utilizing software specific to the rating group.
- Risk Identification and Escalation: Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, and maintaining awareness of our risk management approach.
Qualifications include:
- A minimum undergraduate/first-level degree with strong academic performance.
- Some relevant experience (including internships) is preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
