Job Title: Registered Midwife

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Midwife to join our team at Healthcare Australia. As a key member of our Virtual Care Centre, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive maternal health care to pregnant and post-natal women.

About the Role:

As a Registered Midwife, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development and implementation of new maternal health services
  • Conducting assessments and investigations to assess maternal and fetal health
  • Educating and supporting pregnant women on labor, birthing processes, pain management, and delivery options
  • Coordinating postnatal services, including arranging health records transfer to the Health Service Provider clinic
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive health records of maternal and newborn care
About You:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Registered Midwife who is committed to providing high-quality maternal and newborn care. You will have a strong foundation in evidence-based practices and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to build trusting relationships with patients and their families, ensuring a supportive and empowering environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Midwifery or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience
  • Current registration as a midwife with AHPRA (nil restrictions)
  • Proven experience in providing midwifery care, particularly in diverse or multicultural settings
  • Strong knowledge of maternal health issues, including antenatal, perinatal, and postnatal care
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in diverse cultural and linguistic contexts
  • Sensitivity to the needs and rights of detainees in a healthcare setting
