About the Role

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to support data delivery and infrastructure across our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and maintaining robust data ingestion pipelines
  • Managing secure and efficient data transfers into our systems
  • Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data to support core business functions
  • Providing ongoing support for data infrastructure, including cloud platforms, data lakes, data marts, and dashboards
  • Monitoring data platform performance and recommending infrastructure enhancements to maintain optimal benchmarks
  • Designing and implementing ETL pipelines using CI/CD methodologies
  • Contributing to the development and deployment of solution designs and big data platform strategies across all environments
  • Communicating technical updates and project priorities to leadership
  • Investigating and resolving data-related incidents promptly

About You

The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated and technically capable Data Engineer who is eager to grow and contribute to our evolving data landscape. You'll bring hands-on experience with data pipelines, cloud platforms and ETL processes, along with a solid understanding of data infrastructure and performance monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Mechatronic or a related field
  • Significant experience in data management across cloud platforms, data lakes, warehousing, analytics, and business intelligence
  • Proficient with BI and analytics tools such as Databricks, SQL Server, Power BI, R, and Python
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, big data architecture, data streaming, and virtualisation
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong development skills in Python and SQL
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex stakeholder queries
