Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and driven Purchasing Officer to join our Colac team. This role will play a critical part in supporting our operations and maintenance teams, leading on-site purchasing activities, and ensuring timely sourcing of parts and services.

• Implement and maintain inventory management systems to enhance tracking, reporting, and decision-making processes for purchases.
• Regular stocktaking and critical spare reviews to optimize inventory levels.
• Develop and execute strategies to optimize inventory turnover rates, minimize holding costs, and reduce waste.
• Site purchasing activities to support sawmilling and maintenance teams, achieving good commercial outcomes.
• Liaison with maintenance, operations, and site finance teams to ensure effective and accurate monthly close-offs.

• Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to uphold purchasing processes and systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Strong computer skills, including purchasing and maintenance systems.
• Ability to develop strong relationships internally and with key suppliers and customers.
• Any required training and licensing will be provided by the company.
