The energy sector presents a complex landscape, demanding innovative approaches and multidisciplinary expertise. Our team within KPMG's Commercial Advisory and Transactions group provides strategic, financial, transactional, and advisory services to clients navigating the energy transition.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our Energy team, which is deeply embedded within the Infrastructure, Asset & Places group. With extensive experience across the entire energy infrastructure life cycle, we offer a unique platform for professionals passionate about shaping the future of the industry.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to support our energy opportunities in the market by:

  • Contributing your knowledge and passion for the energy industry to deliver cutting-edge solutions across energy sector transactions and major projects.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and project staff to provide tailored advice and solutions to clients.
  • Supporting the delivery of high-impact, industry-leading strategic, commercial, analytical, and financial advice.
  • Participating in complex analytical projects with deep subject matter expertise to identify and define key strategic avenues.

  • You possess a strong understanding of the energy industry and its various stakeholders, including investors, policymakers, and end-users.
  • You can effectively communicate complex ideas and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You are well-versed in emerging trends and technologies shaping the energy sector, such as electric vehicles, hydrogen, solar & storage, and demand side response.
  • You are committed to delivering high-quality work products that meet client expectations.

Your Skills and Qualifications
  • A proven track record of delivering strategic, commercial, financial advice, and developing financial models.
  • Experience in preparing briefing documentation, running financial models, supporting transaction strategy and analysis, and creating client deliverables.
  • Strong professional background in corporate advisory, management consultancy, engineering consultancy, accounting or law firms, investment banking, project finance teams, infrastructure funds, construction firms, or commercial/infrastructure teams in operational businesses.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Law, or other relevant subjects.

We offer a competitive salary range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, reflecting the demands and responsibilities of this critical role.
