About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team at Canny Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting our Family Law, Wills and Estates, and Conveyancing departments in a variety of tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in drafting and preparing court documents, including affidavits, statements of claim, and submissions;
  • Liaise with clients and third-party stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues;
  • Conduct research and provide advice on legal matters related to Conveyancing and Family Law;
  • Attend client meetings, mediations, and court hearings as required;
  • Perform general office duties, including data entry and document management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm, with a strong understanding of Family Law, Wills and Estates, and Conveyancing;
  • Hold a current Victorian Legal Practicing Certificate;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues;
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Salary will be paid commensurate with experience, however, an indicative commencement range would be: $70,000 - $90,000.
