Job Overview

CPC Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversee the coordination of mechanical engineering projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring the engineering team, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality mechanical designs and solutions that meet project objectives and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver mechanical engineering deliverables, including package engineering, calculations, and plant design, in accordance with project requirements and industry best practices.
  2. Provide project review and approval of mechanical deliverables to ensure compliance with project objectives and quality standards.
  3. Coordinate and manage the work of designs and drafts people to ensure timely and accurate delivery of mechanical designs and solutions.
  4. Monitor and review project progress and schedules to ensure alignment with project objectives and deadlines.
  5. Ensure adherence to all CPC Engineering policies, systems, procedures, and quality management requirements.
Requirements
  1. Industry-related higher education degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  2. Significant experience (over 15 years) in minerals process plant design, with a strong understanding of various processes and unit operations.
  3. Proven experience in engineering delivery, with a focus on project coordination and technical leadership.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, allocate work to others, and monitor progress.
Desirable Skills and Abilities
  1. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members.
  2. Strong computer literacy skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  3. Ability to produce study estimates and manage studies and small site projects, including variation management.
  4. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Knowledge of databases and version control systems, with the ability to manage and maintain accurate records.
  6. Attention to detail, with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
  7. Extensive industry contacts and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  8. Willingness to travel, as required, to support project delivery and client engagement.
