We're seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Patient Services Officer to join our team working across our clinics located within Mater Hospital and the North Shore Health hub.

This client-facing role will be responsible for providing administrative and billing support to our patients and staff, while maintaining a professional, caring, and friendly demeanor in an ever-changing environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients and staff
  • Managing patient appointments and bookings
  • Processing billing and receipting at the time of appointment
  • Accurately processing relevant paperwork and data entry
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the clinic
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient processes
  • Managing patient records and filing patient notes

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care and customer service
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience working successfully in both independent and team environments
  • Knowledge of patient billing systems and related Medicare funding mechanisms would be highly valued
  • Exceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient inquiries
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Flexible approach to work and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
