Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer - Heavy Machinery to join our team. As a field service engineer, you will be responsible for performing services, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a range of heavy machinery.
Main Responsibilities
- Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues with heavy machinery
- Maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency in all aspects of work
- Coordinating site-based equipment maintenance projects, including job packet requirements and critical path management
- Generating technical reports and documenting work completed
Roster and Location
This role is based in Townsville and offers a 7/7 roster. You will have the opportunity to travel to and from sites in a company-supplied vehicle.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or similar
- A level of technical understanding and function of heavy machinery is an advantage
- Knowledge and previous experience repairing and maintaining heavy machinery or components
- Post-trade field service experience is desirable
- Current C-category car license with the ability to upgrade to MR license as required
- Ability to obtain current tickets, including first aid, forklift, and work at heights
- Demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work in remote areas and unsupervised
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and understanding of basic computer systems
