About the Role

The After-Hours Supervisor plays a pivotal role in providing compassionate and competent care to residents while maintaining a positive work environment for the care team. The key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to residents addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.
  • Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
  • Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
  • Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
  • Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:

  • AHPRA registration.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
  • Grade 5, Registered Nurse.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
  • Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
  • Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An outstanding proficiency in care planning goal setting and evaluation documentation.
  • Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
