Personnel Security Professional

The personnel security function is a vital component of our organization's overall security posture.
As a specialist in this field, you will be responsible for managing security clearances and vetting activities for employees supporting programs.
You will have a strong track record of leading and supporting security initiatives, demonstrable program/project management experience, comprehensive knowledge of government clearance processes and reporting requirements, and a deep understanding of government security programs and processes.
Key responsibilities include processing and reviewing personnel security clearances, contributing to the development of security programs, generating and tracking security metrics, monitoring processes for improvements, and interfacing with stakeholders.
A typical day in this role involves supporting the security team by processing security clearances, travel notifications, and other security-related activities, identifying ways to innovate and simplify processes, creating comprehensive reports on security data and metrics, offering advice on straightforward security issues, conducting security briefings and training sessions, and managing a security mailbox.
