Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to support conservation projects across Commonwealth Parks. As a Grants and Communications Officer, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to driving innovative conservation initiatives.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your writing skills, social media expertise, and project management abilities to amplify the organisation's impact. You will play a vital role in securing funding for conservation projects, collaborating with partners, and promoting project achievements to donors and the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain content for the website, e-newsletters, project flyers, and social media platforms.
  • Collate information for reports, including annual reports and impact reports.
  • Promote project achievements to donors, networks, and the public.
  • Coordinate partner input and prepare reports to funders, highlighting project progress.
  • Research and apply for grant opportunities to secure funding for conservation projects.

About You

  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Strong social media skills and experience with WordPress.
  • Excellent organisational abilities, independence, and high-quality task management.
  • Solid judgment and problem-solving skills with a flexible, solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to prepare proposals, applications, discussion papers, and briefs.
  • Skills to foster collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Administrative support skills with flexibility, initiative, tact, discretion, and resourcefulness.
