Senior Policy Officer - Energy Policy Development

This exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Policy Officer to join our team and contribute to the development of energy policy in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of energy policy and ensuring that it aligns with the Government's long-term goals of reducing carbon emissions.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert advice on complex areas of energy policy, working closely with stakeholders across government, industry, and civil society to develop and implement policies that promote a sustainable energy future. You will also contribute to the development of key regulatory settings for the offshore petroleum and greenhouse gas storage industries, researching and interpreting relevant legislation and maintaining knowledge of international conventions and best practices.

In addition to your policy work, you will also supervise team members performing related roles and provide guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
