Operations Specialist

At McDermott, we're committed to driving the energy transition with a team of experts who push boundaries and strive for excellence. We're seeking an Operations Specialist to join our ranks, bringing their expertise in offshore project execution and design.

We're looking for someone with 5-7 years of experience in the Offshore Industry, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience. A Bachelor's degree in any relevant Engineering Discipline is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve installation procedures and engineering to ensure they meet project requirements and follow best practices.
  • Supervise Field Engineers in planning and execution of offshore projects.
  • Ensure coordination between Fabrication/Loadout Contractor and operations team.
  • Resolve technical problems during offshore installation and assist in corrective action.
  • Liaise with Fabrication hook-up group on marine support equipment and logistics assistance.
  • Develop scope of work, assist in subcontract award, and coordinate same.
  • Review invoices from vendors and subcontractors for errors or omissions.
  • Provide input to tender process as required.
  • Ensure conformance to Level 2 procedures for wire rope applications and rigging.
  • Manage project fabrication inter/intra-function coordination throughout various phases.
  • Identify resource needs for fabrication portion of project and report status.
  • Lead fabrication execution strategy and guide multi-discipline production engineering team to meet project deliverables.
  • Manage project fabrication progress within schedule and productivity within targeted budget.
