Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in large-format retail management, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in similar roles. They must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Store Operations: Provide clear direction and effective leadership to all store staff, ensuring alignment with company objectives and adherence to best practices. Foster a positive and productive store environment through communication and support of corporate, regional, and field teams.

  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, local, and industry-specific regulations affecting store operations. Monitor and control costs by identifying opportunities to reduce expenses, improve productivity, and enhance overall profitability.

  • Inventory and Purchasing: Oversee inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels and tight inventory turnover. Work closely with procurement teams to ensure product availability, pricing accuracy, and competitive merchandising.

  • Operational Planning and Financial Oversight: Develop and implement monthly operational plans, ensuring alignment with regional goals and fiscal objectives. Monitor financial performance against set targets, tracking any variances and reporting on progress to the corporate office.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Facilitate communication between departments such as procurement, advertising, HR, and maintenance to ensure smooth operational flow. Work with Category Managers to refine product offerings, resolve merchandising issues, and suggest improvements, promotions, and pricing strategies.

  • Training and Development: Lead the training of store personnel on merchandising standards, product knowledge, customer service, and operational procedures. Provide operational training on financial standards, inventory control, and loss prevention.

  • Staff Development and Performance Management: Identify high-potential team members and develop them for future management roles. Implement customized training programs to build skills and prepare individuals for promotion.

Requirements:
  • Experience in large-format retail management, with a minimum of 5+ years in similar role.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving financial targets.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with ability to coach and develop staff at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with focus on collaboration across departments.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to adapt to and implement change in a dynamic retail environment.
