About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team in the Hornsby area. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to older members of our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers' nutritional needs are met
  • Offering social support and transport to lifestyle activities, promoting social interaction and community engagement
  • Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, as well as assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Providing respite and emotional support to our customers and their families
  • Transporting customers to appointments and social events, ensuring their independence and mobility
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia, with a focus on person-centered care

Requirements:
  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability or Nursing
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, ensuring safe transportation of customers
  • Ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, with a focus on customer-centered care
  • Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet customer needs
