Lead Disability Employment Team

We are seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead our supported open employment services, fostering strong employer partnerships and delivering training that unlocks meaningful job opportunities for people with disability.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team in creating inclusive workplaces and driving positive change. As Team Leader – Supports in Employment, you will oversee daily operations, work alongside people with disability to achieve employment goals and inspire your team to deliver outstanding results.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of daily operations and management of staff
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers and community groups
  • Designing and delivering training programs that enhance employability skills
  • Mentoring and supporting employees to achieve their career goals

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or proven experience in the disability sector
  • Strong interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Experience in working with and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Proven experience in staff supervision and site management
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • NDIS New Worker Screening and completion of The NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety & You (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before commencing)
