Job Title: Plant Manager

Pace Appointments is proud to partner with a leading manufacturer in the specialized sector. We are seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to lead a mature operation, supported by a global framework, enviable reputation, and comprehensive service offering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize day-to-day operations through cost-effective planning, organization, and direction.
  • Supervise a team, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient working practices.
  • Oversee people matters, including cross-training, performance management, hiring, and resourcing the site.
  • Embody a safety-first attitude, aligned with SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Monitor production, identify opportunities for improvement, reduce NPT, and oversee plant and equipment maintenance.
  • Analysis, reporting, planning, forecasting, and cost control, highlighting preparation of reporting and analysis for global roll-up.
  • Coach and train employees, monitoring operational KPIs.
Requirements:
  • Evidence of at least 5 years of management experience in a production environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing or Engineering and/or Business Management or related discipline.
  • Strong continuous improvement background, with fluency in LEAN/Six Sigma/5Y/6S methodologies.
  • Ability and willingness to complete PEM & D&A Testing to ensure ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
  • General computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and SAP (or ERP).
