Job Description

We are seeking a senior patent litigator with 7+ years of PQE to join our highly regarded, successful, and rapidly growing IP practice in our Sydney office.

This opportunity allows you to work closely with one of Australia's leading IP partners, Ben Miller, in a collaborative culture that values excellence, integrity, teamwork, and respect for individuality and diversity.

You will work on a variety of matters, including IP strategy and advice, major pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical device, mining, and engineering and technology patent cases, as well as IP licensing and commercialisation work for prestigious research institutes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage matters autonomously, utilising strong written, analytical, and drafting skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate expertise in science and related fields, driving business outcomes through effective advice and guidance.
  • Build relationships with clients, leveraging industry knowledge to deliver tailored solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years PQE in patent litigation, and related advice and/or commercialisation work.
  • A strong background in science, with the ability to manage complex projects.
  • Strong written, analytical, and drafting skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A client-focused approach, with the ability to think independently and work collaboratively.
