The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth operations and work on project portfolios across the energy and resources sectors, specifically oil and gas. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring engineering design practices and standards in the organisation are in accordance with Australian Standards, guides, and codes as appropriate, meeting industry best practice;
  2. Piping stress analysis and checking isometrics and piping arrangements;
  3. Preparing concept, feasibility, and FEED documentation and obtaining relevant reviews and approvals;
  4. Preparing and checking data sheets for mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, fittings, and vessels;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in the oil and gas, and/or mining industries;
  2. Demonstrated experience working on technical design projects;
  3. A strong understanding of ASME B31.3 and AS 2885;
  4. Experience with Caesar and Autopipe programs;
  5. Experience with modelling buried piping systems;
  6. Strong analytical and technical report writing skills;
  7. Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and client requirements;
  8. A strong commitment to client satisfaction and quality work;
  9. Ability to work independently on multiple projects;
