Mathematics Educator

This position plays a vital role in shaping the educational journey of students by delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs that cater to their diverse needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs that align with Biblical principles and sound doctrine. They will also foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning: Plan, prepare, and deliver effective teaching programs that demonstrate clear alignment with Biblical principles and sound doctrine, strong subject knowledge, current educational research, well-developed practice, and capacity for student engagement.
  • Safe and Supportive Environment: Support the spiritual, physical, social, and emotional well-being and safety of students by developing safe, supportive, and mutually respectful relationships in a variety of settings.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess and record student progress carefully and appropriately, and provide timely feedback to students, actively engaging them in the learning process.
  • Communication: Report and discuss student progress and performance with parents, the school, and other stakeholders as required, in a timely and professional manner.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Committed Christian: A committed Christian who is actively involved in their local evangelical Christian church.
  • Teaching Qualifications: Relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Understanding of Christian Teaching: A clear and well-articulated understanding of what it means to be a Christian teacher and the role of Christian schooling.
  • Experience: Experience teaching Year 7-12 Mathematics.
  • Teaching Strategies: Demonstrated ability to use a range of teaching strategies that meet students where they are individually and collectively.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to partner effectively with parents in the education and care of their children.
