Our ApproachWe have adopted the Trauma Betrayal Recovery Information Model (TBRI) as our preferred approach to care. This model focuses on empowering principles, connecting principles, and correcting principles to address physical needs, attachment needs, and fear-based behaviours.
Our services are designed to provide early help and intervention, targeted support, and ongoing assistance to those in need.
About the RoleThe Better Futures Practitioner role plays a vital part in empowering young people to overcome challenges, unlock their potential, and build brighter futures.
This position involves engaging with young people in a therapeutic relationship to empower transition to independence across various life areas, including housing, education, employment, health, and wellbeing.
You will work closely with clients experiencing homelessness and provide intensive support where necessary.
Additional responsibilities include case coordination, administration of accommodation brokerage for funded clients, and community connections to expand possibilities for young care-leavers to connect with their community.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in a therapeutic relationship with young people to empower transition to independence

- Coordinate cases, administer accommodation brokerage, and facilitate community connections
To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong desire to deliver good outcomes for young people. A demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed principles and approaches is essential.
Additionally, you should be confident in recommending, designing, and implementing new procedures and processes, and have strong organisational skills to support administrative requirements.
Your highly developed cultural awareness and sensitivity, combined with excellent communication skills, will enable you to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
