About the Role

Pacific Stone is a family-owned and operated business with over 50 staff members, comprising skilled stone masons and tilers, apprentices, supervisors, and a passionate leadership and administrative team.

We are seeking experienced Wall and Floor Tilers to assist in delivering a wide range of projects across the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Laying ceramic, clay, slate, marble, and glass tiles on external and internal walls and floors
  • Examining plans, measuring, and marking surfaces, and laying out work
  • Preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces
  • Spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position
  • Using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in wall and floor tiling
  • Proven history of quality projects
  • Self-starter skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Honesty and reliability
  • Ability to work unsupervised, coordinate trades, and positively communicate with office and other team members
  • Good English and communication skills
