Position Overview: Thycotic PAM Specialist

Role Summary:

The Thycotic PAM Specialist is responsible for the upkeep and management of the Privileged Access Management (PAM) infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:


• Maintain the PAM infrastructure by performing regular updates and upgrades.


• Ensure the connectivity and synchronization status between internal servers and the Thycotic Secret Server are optimal, addressing any issues promptly.


• Monitor the connectivity between Azure Active Directory (AAD) and the Thycotic Secret Server, resolving any issues as they arise.


• Configure firewall rules to facilitate connectivity to the PAM infrastructure, adhering to established change management protocols.


• Oversee the validity and currency of each secret through heartbeat monitoring from the Thycotic Secret Server, rectifying any synchronization issues.

Management of PAM Secrets:


• Establish accounts in accordance with onboarding procedures.


• Manage and configure secrets within the PAM platform, troubleshooting connection, application, or system issues by implementing effective solutions.


• Develop custom templates and policies for onboarding secrets.


• Create tailored launcher templates for the onboarding of secrets.


• Oversee the lifecycle management of secrets.

Access Management for PAM Secrets:


• Request AAD group memberships as necessary for the onboarding of secrets.


• Maintain and update the folder structure and access management rules to ensure optimal operation.


• Configure business approval workflows for access to critical secrets.


• Manage access to platforms and infrastructure.


• Conduct user access reviews to ensure compliance and security.

Collaboration and Support:


• Collaborate with vendor support teams to resolve service or technology-related issues.


• Engage directly with users to understand their needs and provide training on the usage, features, and limitations of the PAM system.


• Organize technical workshops with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve issues.


• Develop and distribute comprehensive PAM training materials for users.


• Update processes as necessary to ensure the effective utilization of the platform.


• Review and evaluate the technology to ensure all relevant features and functionalities are activated.
