We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Associate specializing in Global Arbitration and Construction Litigation. Our market-leading practice provides construction law and dispute management advice on all aspects of domestic and international project delivery.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing construction and project litigation, preferably in the resources and infrastructure sectors. This role is based in Sydney or Brisbane and involves working closely with the broader regional team on resources and infrastructure project disputes.

  • Responsibilities include providing expert legal advice on construction and arbitration matters, managing litigations, and developing business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Key skills required include excellent communication and drafting abilities, commercial acumen, and strong analytical skills.
  • A proactive and positive approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and building client relationships, is essential for success in this role.

Job Requirements
  • 7+ years' experience as a lawyer with construction dispute experience gained within a top-tier firm (or by a combination of top-tier and in-house) preferably within the resources and infrastructure sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Superior drafting ability.
  • A commercial approach and an ability to articulate and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
  • The ability to be team-focused in providing leadership and mentoring to the juniors in the team whilst also working independently.
