About the Melbourne Property Team

We are currently seeking a capable Lawyer/Associate to join our high-performing team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with Partner Clare Batrouney and the wider property team to deliver complex commercial property transactions.

The group works with a mix of clients across the private and public sector, including state government departments and agencies, local councils, corporates, institutions, and developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating property-related agreements, including contracts, leases, licenses, and development agreements.
  • Providing comprehensive advice to public and private sector clients across a broad range of commercial property transactions.
  • Advising landowners on the development of land, including advising on development agreements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 2-4+ years of experience working in a commercial property or real estate team within private practice.
  • Strong academics, exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Clear drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver legally sound solutions.
  • A proven track record in drafting and reviewing contracts of sale, leases, and other property-related agreements.
  • The ability to manage competing deadlines.
