The Role

This permanent, full-time position will be based out of our modern Select Plant Australia – Malaga Depot, under the support of a collaborative and inclusive team.

You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a diverse range of civil construction machinery (including excavators, loaders, cranes, telehandlers), power generators, and civil ancillary equipment, catering to internal and external clientele. Tools of trade provided.

Your extensive diagnostic skills, commitment to quality control, and safe work practices will be essential in supporting our service workshop team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform skilled diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across a wide range of plant and equipment.
  2. Attend onsite maintenance and breakdowns as required, working efficiently to resolve issues.
  3. Complete accurate service and breakdown reports.
  4. Identify and requisition parts necessary for repairs.
  5. Comply with all company health and safety policies.
  6. Deliver high-quality work, meeting OEM and industry requirements.
  7. Adhere to internal and external client site entry requirements and rules.
About You

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent)
  • Australian Driver's Licence - Manual C Class
  • Australian Construction Induction Card (Blue/White Card)
  • Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
  • Minimum 4+ years' experience as a Heavy/Civil Plant Mechanic
  • Well-rounded diagnostics skills across hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems

Highly regarded qualifications include an RIW Card, higher class driver's licence, additional mechanical certifications, and additional plant or high-risk tickets.

All candidates will undergo pre-employment medical screening and a national criminal background check.
