About the Position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and optimizing data pipelines using Apache Spark.
  • Developing high-performance, scalable applications that can handle massive data volumes.
  • Contributing to the development of a Lakehouse architecture.
  • Integrating data governance and machine learning tools.

Essential Qualifications

  • A strong background in Java or Scala development (Scala preferred).
  • A deep understanding of core computer science principles, including data structures, caching mechanisms, networking, and database systems.
  • Experience with Apache Spark internals and one of the key open-source table formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Hudi).

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced experience in Scala or Java development (3+ years).
  • Knowledge of core computer science principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and open-source table formats.
