Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Team Leader to join our Sydney landscape gardening team.

About the Role

  • Manage a small maintenance crew
  • Ongoing coaching and guiding of team members
  • Address lawn care by adding topsoil, planting grass and laying turf
  • Resolve garden maintenance issues such as seasonal pest, weed and tree and hedge control solutions and managing bugs and diseases in plants and trees
  • Familiarity with various irrigation methods and solutions
  • Lead the team on landscaping ideas and designs, identify suitable materials and plants to use and plan landscape project timelines
  • Trim tree branches and support their growth

Key Responsibilities

  • Landscape industry and general garden maintenance experience preferred
  • Extremely high attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with fantastic communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and take pride in your work
  • Well-presented and enthusiastic approach to all duties
  • Familiarity with power equipment such as; hedge trimmer, whipper snipper, brush cutter, lawn mower
  • Good knowledge of plant, weed, pest and disease identification
  • Experience with soft landscaping works such as; planting, mulching, turf renovations
  • Thorough knowledge of safe work procedures and their implementation
  • Be physically fit and enjoy working outdoors
  • Current driver's license (preferred)
  • At least a relevant Certificate IV and 2 years of relevant work experience
