About the Role

CYOS Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team. As a Data Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing data architecture frameworks that support business operations and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on data architecture and management best practices for implementation within CYOS Solutions.
  • Analyse data-related business needs with business analysts and technology teams by providing advice on data warehousing methods and approaches.
  • Provide assurance over data solutions and make recommendations to ensure compliance with relevant policies, strategies, and industry best practice.
  • Analyse, plan, and define data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data.
  • Work with CYOS Solutions' enterprise architects to develop and modify enterprise architecture, providing consultancy and advice to stakeholders when gathering business requirements.
  • Work collaboratively to redesign and establish data governance processes, tools, and artefacts that align with CYOS Solutions' enterprise architecture.
  • Provide expertise in the development and maintenance of big data platforms, including data visualisation products.
  • Provide expert advice on data architecture and management best practices for implementation within CYOS Solutions.
  • Lead the overall technical solution design of big data platforms to support business capabilities.
  • Provide expertise in designing services for data quality, including cleansing, standardisation, enrichment, and matching.
  • Provide technical expertise in configuring systems for high availability, automated failover, and disaster recovery.
  • Integrate industry-tested methodologies for optimising and streamlining data processing best practices.
  • Create and update various documentation, such as technical specifications, technical designs, and matrices, architectural documents, system design specifications, workflows, events, and sequence diagrams, UML charts.
  • Support the Section Director with advice and expertise related to the data platforms to support system owners and applications to develop CYOS Solutions' data strategy and roadmap.
Requirements
  • 5 years of previous experience working in a data warehousing environment.
  • A degree in a relevant discipline, such as Information Technology or data science, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Australian Government Data policies and procedures is desirable.
