About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our innovative Technology Team in Hobart. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch software development, maintenance, administration, and support for our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, design, and develop Information Systems and interfaces using various programming environments, applying agile methodologies.
  • Offer technical expertise, guidance, training, and support for existing systems.
  • Manage data capture, design, storage, retrieval, and manipulation for business intelligence.
  • Adhere to practices in incident, problem, change, and configuration management.
  • Maintain and develop technical knowledge to support our systems.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to address business needs and contribute to projects.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • Oversee projects from conception to completion.
Requirements
  • A relevant Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio, C#, client application development (e.g., Blazor), APIs, SQL Server, Azure technologies, Databricks, MS Fabric, Power BI, and Dynamics 365.
  • Experience with Dev Ops and CI/CD.
  • Proven experience with service-oriented architectures.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum principles.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira.
  • Strong understanding of database design principles and documentation requirements.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage your own time.
  • The ability to obtain a Tasmanian Gaming Commission Technician "A" license.
