Financial Leadership Role

The Financial Controller role is a pivotal position that supports operational efficiency and financial performance.

  • This leadership role involves providing strategic support to the Management team.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing and analysing data for timely and accurate weekly/monthly results/reports.
  • Preparing journals and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Preparing month-end reports, including analysis of operating costs.
  • Liaising with Senior Management and managing queries.
  • Identifying challenges and opportunities, and recommending corrective action.
  • Managing interim and annual external audits.
  • Overseeing day-to-day responsibilities, including report generation, data entry, cost coding, ledger entry, reconciliation and troubleshooting.

About You

  • Tertiary accounting qualifications and professional membership (CA or CPA).
  • Significant experience in a similar leadership position within a large business.
  • Strong commercial acumen to inform decision making.
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to identify cause-and-effect relationships with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment.
  • Energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a focus on system improvement.
