The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Toowong. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our software solutions, improving engineering standards, and mentoring our next generation of engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality software solutions in accordance with best practice standards, ensuring documentation and test coverage.
  • Engage with our Architecture team to ensure solutions are well-architected and viable prior to development.
  • Mentor team members, communicate standards, and drive improvements in engineering metrics.
  • Lead the direction of Engineering through exploration, problem-solving, and leadership.
  • Implement solutions across the full software development lifecycle, working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to the definition of engineering standards and associated metrics.
  • Estimate development effort for prioritized tasks and conduct efficient research assignments, documenting key learnings.
Requirements
  • Extensive professional software development experience.
  • Proven leadership in design and architecture of new and existing systems.
  • Demonstrated mentorship and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Java,.NET, and React.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Expertise in RESTful API and microservices architecture.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication abilities for effective collaboration.
  • Proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
