Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced geologist to join our team at a leading manganese producer's Pilbara-based mine. This role offers a challenging and rewarding career path for individuals who are passionate about the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the unique Woodie mineralisation style.
  • Collaborate with mining and exploration team members to ensure stakeholder needs are met.
  • Monitor drilling data and adhere to QAQC procedures.
  • Produce geological and mineralisation interpretations using Surpac and Leapfrog software.
  • Assist with follow-up drill program design.
  • Participate in safety and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Geology.
  • Knowledge of geostatistics through post-graduate study or on-the-job learning.
  • Demonstrated competency with Surpac, Supervisor, Leapfrog.geo, and MS Office.
  • Experience producing 3D geological and mineralisation interpretations.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Membership of an internationally recognised professional body (e.g., AUSIMM, AIG).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in remote and demanding locations.
  • Current Manual C-class driver's license.
  • First Aid certificate.
  • Strong sense of safety for themselves and colleagues.
