About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our team at the Junior Logan Campus. As a Teacher, you will play a critical role in supporting our young people to achieve their educational goals in a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver academic and wellbeing programs to students, supporting their diverse needs and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver structured lessons that differentiate and personalise the learning for each student.
  • Assess and provide meaningful and supportive feedback to students, helping them to know success.
  • Support students with a range of learning needs, including disabilities, behavioural disturbances, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, low levels of literacy/numeracy, and mental illness.

Requirements

  • Hold a relevant University degree and current Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
  • Apply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare teaching and learning programs to meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of students who are at risk of disengaging from education.
  • Effectively communicate with students, using appropriate interpersonal skills and behaviour management strategies to establish a supportive learning environment.
