About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to join our team at GEDON Recruitment PTY Ltd. As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in leading our cost planning and estimating team, engaging with clients at the highest level, and managing the output and performance of our QS team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-level cost planning and estimating for various building projects, including health, education, and commercial sectors.
  • Engage and interact with clients at the highest level to deliver exceptional results.
  • Manage the QS team's output and performance, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of projects.
  • Motivate, inspire, and lead a young team to achieve their full potential.
  • Oversee cost management and client reporting, ensuring seamless communication and transparency.
  • Handle invoicing, fee, and proposal negotiation to ensure maximum revenue and growth.

Project Diversity

You will work on a variety of building projects, including health, education, aged care, commercial, universities, industrial, aviation, retail, data centers, high-rise residential, and Olympic Games development. Projects will range from $1M to $200M, with a focus on those valued between $20M and $100M, located throughout Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Queensland.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a current Associate Director or Executive Quantity Surveyor with:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • 15 years of experience in QS, estimating, or cost planning, including 5 years in Australia or NZ.
  • First-class communication skills with the ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a young team.
  • Expertise in building projects such as health, education, and commercial sectors.
  • Competence in using CostX software.
