About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Northcott. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing timely, evidence-based, and person-centred therapy services to children and adults with a disability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality therapy services to customers with a range of disabilities, including intellectual disability, physical disability, autism, and global developmental delay.
  • Manage a caseload of complex and varied needs, working with customers, their families, and carers to identify strengths, skills, and goals.
  • Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths and areas of development, and identify suitable intervention strategies.
  • Deliver therapy in a variety of environments, including centre-based, schools, group homes, homes, and via telehealth.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of professional knowledge and skills within the Occupational Therapy profession.
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration.
  • Possess knowledge of strengths-based practice, family and person-centred approaches, and the NDIS framework.
  • Have experience delivering evidence-based therapy to a paediatric, adolescent, and/or adult caseload.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities in an autonomous, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills – written, oral, and listening.
  • Possess an NDIS Worker Check & NSW WWCC (or willingness to obtain).
  • Have a First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or willingness to obtain.
  • Hold a Driver's License with access to own vehicle (reimbursement for KM's is available).
